Thousands Of Stores To Shop From

Our readers are pretty familiar with who The Hand Made Product Shopping Directory is and what it has to offer shoppers. There may be some however that are not aware of our newest addition or element to the directory called the Arcade. This isn’t too surprising since the Arcade is really new. In fact it has just been online for a couple of weeks.

The Arcade is a shopping venue and showcase of unique and distinctive products from independent designers, crafters, artists and other creators from around the world. Our community provides shoppers with a simple and easy way to find the handcrafted products they desire without a hassle. The Arcade provides a centralized location for sellers from many different venues across the internet to display and market their creations. The Arcade is human edited and each store and item shown in the Arcade has been reviewed to provide the shopper with some of the best handcrafted products to be found anywhere. Although the Arcade is very new, it is growing quickly and we see it as a very useful shopping tool for shoppers.

Listed below is a short list of some of our newest stores in the Arcade. We hope you will visit some of them.

The Arcade offers some very distinct advantages for those that create and sell handmade and handcrafted products. What makes Arcade Stores different for store owners? First of all, there is No setup charge and No final value fees either. If you as a store owner that has stores on other venues, you are probably tired of the product photos shoppers initially see in your store look a little crazy because most selling venues size their thumbnail photos into a standardized size throughout the selling venue, you’ll like the fact that each listing is reviewed by real people before it goes on line and each photo is sized proportionately so shoppers see your products the way they should look. Shoppers don’t just see a picture and a title, they see a real product description of the product as well the title. When a shopper clicks on the photo, they instantly go to that items sales page on what ever store you normally sell that product from to make the purchase. Shopper confusion about Shipping and Terms of Sale are reduced because these facts are on every page in your shop. So is a Profile and your store owners comments. All stores and products are human edited prior to going online.

Art to hang on your wall and also hang on you

Now here is a store that is a little different. Shabby Accumulations has not only some really nice art you can hang on your wall but also some that you can hang on you. Although not the largest store we have ever reviewed, Shabby Accumulations does have a very respectable selection for shoppers in both the areas of art prints, aceo, and art jewelry.

How does on describe art in words alone? Not very easily for this writer so I refer the reader to the picture above for a sample of what can be found at Shabby Accumulations. I can tell the reader that there is a nice selection of pieces to be found in their store. I like what is written in their store announcement for a nice description of their store. “It is where retro meets vintage and shabby meets chic. Home of hand created, vintage revamped jewelry and and sometimes' sweet, sometimes scary photographs and artwork.”

Many think nice art has to be expensive. Not so. For those seeking to purchase some nice art and do it without having to have six figure income, you will like the very reasonable prices in the store also.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that jewelry is probably the largest category of handmade and handcrafted products to be found online. There certainly are a large number of very good artisans in the area of jewelry making and this fact can make the searching process a bit of a challenge for shoppers. Well for those shoppers that are having difficulty finding a starting place, let me recommend Beaded Jewels .

Let me first state that Beaded Jewels has a huge selection of items to select from in a nice selection of categories. With great skill Lixi the owner of Beaded Jewels put together a very nice selection of styles, colors and types of jewelry any jewelry shopper will appreciate. Let me just quote a small piece from their web page “BEADED JEWELS designs feature elegant, sophisticated, extravagant styles as well as stylish, fashionable beaded jewelry and practical items like key-chains, zipper-pulls, purse-clip-ons, cellphone- charms, eye-glass chains.”.

That really doesn’t leave me too much more to tell you about Beaded Jewels except to say that with an easy to shop from web site, Beaded Jewels will make your jewelry shopping experience very pleasurable. Their very reasonable prices won’t hurt either. Stop by and see for yourself.

Pillows any head would like

Yesterday was a holiday and although I seldom get to do so, one of my favorite things to do on holidays is lay on the sofa with a soft pillow under my head and watch a good football game. The key words here for me aren’t “football” but “laying my head on a soft pillow”. I had one special pillow that was real comfortable but I had it so long that it’s almost past the point of no return. I just bought a new one a couple of weeks ago. I sure wish I had know about Darlenedecorates before I had done so.

As one can see from the picture above, Darlenedecorates doesn’t carry just any old pillows. These are really nice looking ones that I’m sure my wife would have a fit over if I used one the way I usually do. Special pillows like these deserve better treatment than I would probably give them. Even though they would stand up to my misuse. As Darlene states in her store announcements “All pillows are original. Made from vintage, imported and high-end material, without the high price. All material is stain resistant.”

Pillows aren’t the only thing Darlene carries in her store. Shoppers will find great candles and soaps as well and I even saw some potholders. Now that is diversity. If all this wasn’t sufficient reason to stop by Darlenedecorates, you will find very reasonable pricing also. All in all, Darlenedecorates is well worth a visit.

I don’t know if it is just me but I seem to be seeing more and more really talented and skilled potters and clay workers lately. At one time you really had to search all over to find them. Just the other day I cam across another unique and distinctive place to buy some great pieces of pottery and clay works.

Scrumdidlyump has been online for some time and why I hadn’t seen it before now is beyond me because I’m always looking for artisans of distinctive pieces of pottery. That’s what the shopper will find at Scrumdidlyump. Skillfully made, creative and functional art are the key words for Scrumdidlyump. There are just too many different pieces in Katie’s, Scrumdidlyump’s store owners’ store to try and describe them. I just refer the reader to the above picture as a single example of the products to be found in the store.

Just where Katie got the ideas for her creations is something I look forward to asking her because there are some super pieces in her store that I haven’t seen in any other place online. If you are looking for a great piece to augment your home décor, be sure to stop by Scrumdidlyump.

Comfy Slippers Are Always Welcome

Shopping is more fun when you find incredible quality at incredible prices!

Thousands Of Stores To Shop From

Crocheted Slippers!!! I know I’m somewhat out of touch in some areas but it never dawned on me that you could create a pair of slippers by crocheting. I don’t know why that is since almost every other type of clothing has been created with crochet. When you think about it however, it makes perfect sense. Slippers are supposed to be comfortable, nice looking, durable and not cost a lot. All these attributes can be found in the creations found at Genevive’s .

In my opinion, creating a pair of slippers by crocheting them has got to take an immense degree of skill. What’s more impressive to me is the imagination used by Genevive to come up with such a variety in the store. I’m not sure the word style is the appropriate to use when talking about slippers but I would consider Genevive’s slippers very stylish with a variety of colors to make the process of clothing coordination very easy.

When it comes to anything that one wears on their feet, comfort is a prime factor. From what I can see in the store, I didn’t see any pair of slippers that could be anything but very comfortable. The fact that every pair is double soled not only adds to the comfort level but also to the durability factor. Shoppers will also find comfort in the fact that Genevive’s crocheted slippers are very reasonably priced also.

Functional pottery worth showing off

Shop Hand Made From The Shopping Directory Of

Shopping is more fun when you find incredible quality at incredible prices!

Thousands Of Stores To Shop From

I know this blog is not going to be of any help for this years holiday gift shoppers but it sure will be one that anyone who likes pottery is going to like, regardless of the time of year. A newly listed store in the directory called Twisted River Clayworks is one store that truly is worth a look-see.

I want to quote what Ronald, the owner of Twisted River Clayworks says in their store announcement area simply because I’d just be typing the same thing anyway in this review. “Our pottery is unique and eclectic, created using the potter's wheel, slabs of clay and other creative additions. All of our work is functional and made of stoneware. Our glazes are certified food safe and contain no lead.”

Ronald’s words “Unique and eclectic” are seriously an understatement. Even simple pieces like a mug provide a whole new perspective to pottery. Twisted River Clayworks is a busy store with a lot of sales and the reason is simple. They create some really neat pieces.

Adding real style and uniqueness to functional pottery takes skill and a significant amount of creativity. I didn’t see a single piece in the store that didn’t exhibit both these qualities. I know that Christmas is tomorrow and everyone is busier than they probably want to be but take a break and take a look at some really distinctive pieces of pottery at Twisted River Clayworks.
